ISO 20022 Financial Messaging
Overview
ISO 20022 is the global standard for financial messaging, used in SWIFT, SEPA, and TARGET2. IOF implements ISO 20022 XML/JSON schemas for all payment initiation, settlement, and reconciliation messages. Standardised identifiers (ISIN for securities, LEI for legal entities, BIC for institutions) are enforced at the schema layer.
Scope
Applies to all FINANCIAL rails (Payments, Treasury, FX, Settlement, Reconciliation) and CAPITAL_MARKETS rails (Sukuk Settlement, Clearing). All API responses conform to ISO 20022 message structures.
